Lyrivo is designed as a local-first text-to-speech reader. No account is required. Lyrivo's own backend does not intentionally collect your reading history, settings, imported documents, or generated audio.
1. About Lyrivo
Lyrivo is an offline text-to-speech and read-aloud application for PDFs, articles, webpages, documents, and text. It can use compatible on-device text-to-speech engines and voices, including supported local speech models such as Supertonic.
2. Information stored on your device
Lyrivo may store information locally on your device so that the application can provide its features. Depending on how you use the app, this may include:
- Imported PDFs, articles, documents, and text
- Reading position and progress
- Application settings and preferences
- Cached on-device speech models
- Generated audio files such as MP3 files
This information is intended to remain on your device and is not intentionally uploaded to Lyrivo's own backend.
3. Webpage retrieval
If you choose to load a webpage or article from the internet, Lyrivo needs network access to retrieve the requested content. The requested website may receive normal network information such as your IP address and request details. The website's own privacy policy and terms apply to that interaction.
Lyrivo does not intentionally send your local reading history, settings, or generated audio to the website merely because you request webpage content.
4. Speech model downloads
Some voices or local speech models may need to be downloaded when you request them. Network access is required for those downloads. Downloaded model files are cached locally on your device for later use.
If a model is hosted by a third-party service, that service may process normal network request information. Its own privacy policy may apply.
5. Text-to-speech processing
When an on-device TTS engine or local speech model is selected, the text is processed locally by that engine or model. Lyrivo is designed not to upload the text you are reading or the generated audio to a Lyrivo cloud service.
6. Accounts
Lyrivo does not require you to create an account to use its core reading and text-to-speech features.
7. Analytics and advertising
The current version of Lyrivo does not intentionally collect analytics data through a Lyrivo backend and does not display advertisements.
If future versions introduce analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or other third-party services that process personal information, this policy will be updated before those services are introduced where required by applicable law.
8. Sharing of information
Lyrivo does not intentionally sell or share your reading history, application settings, imported documents, or generated audio with third parties for advertising or profiling.
Network services that you explicitly access, such as a webpage you request or a service used to download a speech model, may process information as described in their own policies.
9. Data retention and deletion
Locally stored content remains on your device until you delete it through the app, your device's file manager, or the operating system's application storage controls. Uninstalling Lyrivo may remove application-local data according to your device's operating system behavior. Files exported to other locations, including MP3 files, are controlled by you and may need to be deleted separately.
10. Children's privacy
Lyrivo does not require an account and does not intentionally collect personal information from users through its own backend. Parents or guardians should be aware that websites and other network services accessed through the app have their own privacy practices.
11. Security
Lyrivo is designed around local processing and local storage to reduce unnecessary transmission of user content. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and users should protect access to their device and exported files.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app's functionality, services, or legal requirements change. The latest version will be published at this URL with an updated revision date.
